August 1999
Friday August 27th
Arrive Glasgow Airport in early morning. Met on arrival and transferred to Ayr- Jarvis Caledonian Hotel. Remainder of morning free. Lunch on own arrangements. Depart hotel after lunch for transfer to Irvine. Visit Scottish Maritime Museum. Return to hotel in late afternoon. Depart hotel in early evening for transfer to Blairquhan for visit and dinner. Return to hotel for overnight.
Saturday August 28th
Breakfast in hotel. Checkout, then depart for Blair House at Dalry. Arriving at 10:00am for visit, ?lunch?. From Blair House continue westwards to West Kilbride then northwards along Firth of Clyde through Largs, Skelmorlic, Gourock( via esplanade), Greenock to join M8. Continue on M8 through Glasgow to Edinburgh arriving in early evening Channings Hotel for two nights. Dinner in hotel then to 10:30pm performance of Tattoo with fireworks display at end. Return to hotel for overnight.
Sunday August 29th
Breakfast in hotel. Then depart for whole day tour of Edinburgh and area visiting Castle, Palace of Holyrood House. South Queensferry to view Bridges, Hopetoun House. Return to hotel in late afternoon for dinner and overnight.
Monday August 30th
Breakfast in hotel. Checkout then depart for whoe day journey to Dundee visiting Falkland Palace, Anstruther and St. Andrews. Lunch stop en route. Time for shopping and visit to British Golf Museum (optional) before continuing on via Tay Road Bridge to Dundee. Stakis Earl Grey Hotel one night. Dinner at hotel.
Tuesday August 31st
Breakfast in hotel. Checkout, then visit Discovery Point in Dundee before continuing along coast to Arbroath. Visit Signal Tower Museum, Arbroath Abbey. St. Vigeans sculptured stones. Lunch in Arbroath area. From Arbroath head westwards to visit Glamis Castle and possibly Angus Folk Museum if time permits. From Glamis continue onwards via Coupar Angus to Perth. Salutation Hotel for two nights. Dinner in hotel.
SEPTEMBER 1999
Wednesday September 1st
Breakfast in hotel. Then depart for whole day tour visiting Stirling Castle, Argyle's Lodging. Then to Crieff. Lunch own arrangements and some shopping. Continue on to Drummond Castle Gardens( open 2:00pm). Return to Perth in early evening. Dinner in hotel. Possible (optional) theatre performance after dinner.
Thursday September 2nd
Breakfast in hotel. Checkout, then depart for journey to Blairgowrie. Visiting Caithness Glass on outskirts of Perth, Blair Castle and Pitlochry. Lunch and shopping. Edradour Distillery, Scotland's smallest distiller, Dunkeld, Dunkeld Cathedral then to Blairgowrie. Arriving late afternoon Angus Hotel for four nights. Dinner at hotel.
Friday September 3rd
Breakfast in hotel. Then Blair activities, returning to hotel in early evening. Dinner in hotel.
Saturday September 4th
Breakfast in hotel. Then depart for whole day excursion to Braemar via A93 Devils Elbow, Cairnwell. Braimar Games. Return to hotel early evening. Dinner at hotel.
Sunday September 5th
Breakfast in hotel. Then Blair activities-return to hotel in early evening. Blair Dinner in hotel with guests.
Monday September 6th
Early breakfast in hotel. Checkout, then depart westwards through Dunkeld, Strathbraan, Aberfeldy, Kenmore, Loch Tay, Killin, Falls of Dochart, Glen Ogle, Strathyre and Trossachs. To arrive Trossachs Pier at 3pm. Lunch stop en route Aberfeldy or Kenmore. Depart Trossachs Pier 3:15pm for one hour cruise on Loch Katrine returning 4:15pm. From Trossachs Pier continue via Achray Forest to Aberfoyle Forest Hills Hotel for one night. Dinner in hotel.
Tuesday September 7th
Breakfast in hotel. Depart for Glasgow and morning sightseeing tour. Finishing City Centre approx. 12noon. Lunch on own arrangements. Afternoon free for shopping, private sightseeing, etc. Return to hotel in late afternoon. Final dinner in restaurant 78 St. Vincent.
Wednesday September 8th
Breakfast in hotel, checkout. Possible time for last minute shopping subject to flight time then transfer to Glasgow Airport for return flight to USA.
